There are no tuition fees for citizens from EU member states.
Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following requirements:
a) Completed High School Degree or foreign equivalent (eligibility for University studies) OR
b) Completed vocational training and professional practice in a field related to this program (in this case, additional courses/exams may be required prior to enrollment).
Beyond that, no other specific skills are required to enter the MTD program. The language of instruction is mostly German, foreign applicants may therefore be asked to demonstrate a sufficient level of language proficiency.
Program Philosophy:
No technology has ever developed faster than the world of digital media. Computers have become universal, creative tools, linked into global communication networks of rapidly growing performance. Innovative ideas call for professional implementation in an increasingly complex environment, requiring solid understanding and skills in a wide range of topics. Success in this exciting field requires not only the perfect mastering of technology but also a lot of imagination, creativity and personal skills.
The Media Technology and Design (MTD) curriculum includes primarily technical training along with extensive creative, organizational and social training elements. As such, Multi-Media, Internet/Web, Computer Graphics and Animation are its key areas. Additional elements like screen design, video and audio design, cartooning, computer games etc., allow students to expand individual interests and talents throughout the four-year program.
Career Placement Information:
Graduates, after earning their engineering degrees, are successful and highly valued in a variety of occupations such as project managers, creative designers, media producers, Web engineers, systems planners and administrators, or free-lance consultants and media professionals. Potential businesses include multi-media publishing houses, advertisement agencies, film and video productions, Web agencies and online businesses, educational enterprises and media departments in large corporations.
