Entrance Requirements: The Bachelor of Arts (Digital Arts) is a three year full-time program, with an opportunity to undertake a further year in Honours. Students undertake two streams from a total of four streams offered, including Computer Animation, Interactive Digital Media, Computer Music and Digital Video. In the second year of the Bachelor of Arts (Digital Arts) there is the opportunity to participate in an international exchange program with other universities offering studies in digital arts. Selection for the BA (Digital Arts) is competitive and based on the presentation of a portfolio and interview. Interstate or overseas applicants may request a telephone interview & their portfolios must be received before the interview date. More information available at:

Interview & Portfolio Information
We are looking for imaginative and intelligent students, not only artistically talented but also gifted with ideas, able to think out of the box, and highly creative.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate their creative strengths, knowledge and ability to study in New Media Arts. The portfolio should consist of material demonstrating artistic ability and creative intelligence.
Facilities / Equipment: For Animation- Software: Flash, Maya, Final-cut Pro, After Effects, Protools. -
Hardware: G5 Macintosh computers, Drawing Tablets, Scanners, Still camera and stand
Green screen room, editing stations with sound boards.
Program Philosophy: The animation stream at CNMA is designed to encourage students to develop their own personal vision. During their time at CNMA students are exposed to various animation techniques. These techniques build up their vocabulary so that they are then able to find an appropriate means of expression for their ideas. By the end of the program students have a strong identity of their own and are able to place their work in an historical and contemporary context. They also have the technical competence to realize an idea from beginning to end.
Faculty Description: ACAT offers studies in four principle areas, which are, computer music, digital video, computer animation and interactive multimedia. Activities CNMA offers studies in four principle areas, which are, Computer Music, Digital Video, 3D Computer Animation and Interactive Digital Media. Activities include, research, exhibitions, festivals, recording, publishing and performance of new media and time-based arts. CNMA
