Financial Aid Information:
All students are eligible to apply for financial assistance. Federal programs include: Federal Stafford Loan, Pell Grant, Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), Perkins Loan, College Work-Study, Plus (Parent) Loan Program. State programs include: Colorado State Grant, Colorado Student Incentive Grant, Colorado Undergraduate Merit Scholarship, Colorado Work-Study. The Institute offers a number of partial tuition scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors. Merit scholarships are also awarded to new and continuing student. Contact the admissions office for details.

Entrance Requirements:
Students seeking admission to The Art Institute of Colorado must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. All students must have an interview either in person or by phone. Applicants must provide transcripts along with a hand-written paragraph of 150 words regarding how an education at The Art Institute of Colorado will help in attaining career goals. Students with previous college may submit college transcripts for evaluation for potential advanced placement.

Program Philosophy:
The program is based on the premise that it is this profession's mission to enhance the quality of communications by bringing static images to life with movement to enhance the quality of media used to deliver content. The Media Arts & Animation Program is designed to develop professional, conceptual and critical thinking skills required for creative and advanced animation solutions with current market realities. Intensive training in problem solving, group dynamics and advanced technology provided by experienced professionals will create a well-rounded educational curriculum that provides a balance between the cultural aspects of education as well as the practical specialized and technical knowledge.

Program Description:
The Art Institute of Colorado prepares students seeking education and employment within specific career areas of Visual Arts, Design, Culinary and Media Arts. The Institute's primary aim is to serve and support the professional development of our students and provide them with practical employment skills in preparation for their contribution to the future of the creative industries.

Faculty Description:
Classes taught by specialists in various parts of the industry. Terminal degrees. Professional artists, game developers, traditional animators, multimedia producers, composite artists teach the areas of their specialization.

Alumni Information:
The Institute has over 7000 alumni in all areas of the arts. The Institute hosts alumni shows and reunions, as well as periodic workshops.

Career Placement Information:
Placement Assistance is provided to all graduates. The Institute is proud of the high rate of placement acheived by graduates within 6 months of graduation. Speak with an Admissions Representative for specific details.
